Made today as it has been for centuries by the original Soap Barons, this authentic 100% natural french soap contains the required 72% vegetable oil. Since 1688 French law has declared that only soaps produced by following traditional methods shall bear the famous mark.  Poured into large pits until it hardens, scored into huge 80 pound blocks and brought outside to dry, where you will find bits of Mediterranean sea salt lingering on the blocks. Safe, biodegradable and natural, Savon de Marseille  soap has been traditionally used to clean everything from infants to laundry and dishes. It helps remove grease, oil and stains during cleaning and it excellent for people with sensitive skin for use in the shower

This multi-use soap is great for bathing, shampooing, laundry, and cleaning, yet gentle enough for a baby.
